Bring on the Tri-Nations glory!

What a weekend! down to london for my first long weekend away - went to a concert 'get loaded in the park' (with fat boy slim and the happy mondays) courtesy of some dodgy scalpers tickets, went to a party on board the st catherine (a boat moored near embankment on the thames) with a whole bunch of saffas. then monday went up to the notting hill carnival for the rasta experience. there were posses, guys running and weaving down the street waving big bags of dope yelling 'hash, marajuana, and dope' at the top of their voices. total rip off. and i have never seen so many police officers - laid back despite a heavy presence. there were these two guys performing out their window to a good sized crowd just totally off the cuff. then there was the breakdancing battle - i don't think i've ever seen a guy with arms as strong as the guy that took it out. he didn't even need legs. amazing atmosphere.

and then, get this...my flatie was telling me (and he's only the messenger) that he was told the haka originated around a story of a small boy getting trapped in a well and then getting rescued by a man with hairy feet. i think someone was taking the piss.

the new haka is cool. and my virtual npc picks sucked.
